I Heart Faces, Fix it Friday editing fun

Every Friday the creative girls at {I Heart Faces} blog host an image that they allow you to use and have fun editing with. This is my first try at working on another photographers image, really. These are the edits I did real quick. The point of doing this is to try new things, learn new tricks of the trade, step out of the box plus I needed a fun break from all the hardcore editing I have been working on these last few weeks. I know I have not posted any new work on here in a long time but this kind of shows what I can do to an image with a before and after. This photo was taken by Michelle Johnson.

This image is the SOOC version

These are my edits (I did not take this image personally I just edited it). Thank you to {I Heart Faces} for allowing us to use them and have fun!

My FIF #1

My FIF #2

My FIF #3

My final edit

I hope everyone likes what I have done to them. I think I might have to do this every Friday:) I promise to post all of my new work really, really soon.

The "R" Family Portraits

The "R" family came an hour and a half to have their portraits taken. The weather was absolutely beautiful. I had so much fun laughing, running and just smiling with all of them. I never get tired of seeing families who love each other so much that it radiates through my lens. I hope the drive was worth it for them because I sure did appreciated the chance to capture the whole family. Thank you Kristen & Jason, you both were awesome and I must say you guys have such a great group of kids!!

Page's 1st Communion Portraits

What a beautiful and special occasion to photograph. Page came up from Tennessee to celebrate her First Communion with all her family. She was so happy to get her black sneakers that she tried them on with her dress. Page's Mom and little brother, Jack & Grandparents were on hand as well as a lot of her other family and friends to witness the blessed event. All I have to say to those sweet southern boys is watch out because not only is she beautiful and smart she is also an amazing athlete {and a brother who knows where to find a good whippin' stick. LOL}. I hope everyone enjoys these!!

Chrissy's Maternity Portraits

What another beautiful session today. The weather was amazing, little Cole was all smiles and of course Chrissy was as gorgeous as ever. Even Chris, her hubby, was very patient with all of us as well. They are expecting their second baby in November. This time its a girl!! She has become a friend as well as my go-to girl for hair (She turned me blonde again but also made me feel like a new person) and I love her for it!! So as a gift I wanted to give her something just as special, a maternity session to look back and remember this time of her pregnancy. I just hope she loves them as much as I love my hair! I can't wait until she has baby Callie so we can use my girly props for her portrait sessions. Thank you Chrissy for being so awesome even in the scorching heat today, you are a real trooper!

Troy, Logan & Ethan's Portrait Session

It was such a beautiful weekend and a busy one at that. What a great Saturday it was to be outside and photographing these three wonderful, high energy young men. They sure kept me busy but I would expect nothing less from boys. We were able to get a ton of action shots as well as a couple group portraits. I am sure they will remember me as the lady who made them sit still on such a great day. I know they were at their happiest running around and playing. I have to thank their Mom, Dad and Grandparents for doing all the wrangling and keeping the guys smiling. What a great family! I hope you all enjoy these.
